A beached whale attracted the attention of the swimmers Florestinha Beach in Cabo Frio, in the Lakes Region of Rio de Janeiro and the animal was killed near the seashore. In less than a month, this is the second whale that is found in the region.

According to biologists during the winter, the whales tend to migrate to the South Pole Abrolhos, Bahia, passing close to the coast. On the way, some tend to fall short.

In June, a humpback whale was found in Arraial do Cabo, a nearby town. The researchers said that this species was a male, with 10 meters and about 10 tons.
